CLAG requests that the Committee support the retention and refurbishment of the Oakleigh Pool―its diving tower, 50 metre pool, learners’ pool and toddler pools. In addition the 50 m and learners’ pools should be heated.
This would be in line with City of Monash policy of supporting sporting establishments, and further develop the area as a sporting and community hub with the golf course, Gensis gym, Oakleigh Recreation Centre, Oakleigh tennis courts, Caloola Reserve and Scotchman’s Reserve―both popular sporting places―and Brickmakers Park.
