State Government funding application

When Monash councillors voted unanimously to refurbish and develop Oakleigh Pool they stated that completing the plans in full was dependant on supplementary funding from the State Government through the Better Pools programme.

Applications for Better Pool funding are now open and Monash Council will be applying. Ann Barker, State Member for Oakleigh, is supporting the application and she will present the Minister for Sport and Recreation with letters from the community supporting the funding application.

Please help by writing to Ann Barker, or sending her an email at ann.barker@parliament.vic.gov.au. In your letter, outline your support for Monash Council’s application. Say what the pool means to you and your family and state why the pool is important to the community.

Applications closed on the 2nd of October, but letters must be received by Ann Barker before then. Funding approvals will be announced in December.
