5. Question to Cr. Kottek (from teenager)

I read in the local papers you thought that the Oakleigh pool was likely to be replaced by a splash pad. My friends and I enjoy the thrill of using the diving tower all summer - how long do you expect us to be amused by an overblown sprinker system?


6. Question to Cr Baines (from teenager):

We are told by our parents and school that we should keep promises. The Council promised to keep the Oakleigh pool open and talk to us about what was going to happen there but you have now done a complete about-face. What kind of example is that to give us about keeping our word?
As future voters and ratepayers of Monash are you trying to teach us that we cannot trust any promises that Council makes?


7. Question to Cr McGill (from teenager):

Lots of kids I know spend most of their holidays getting into trouble because they are bored. Me and my friends stay out of trouble and go down to the Oakleigh pool. If you shut the pool forever what are we supposed to do?


8. Question to the Mayor (from teenager):

I dive as a sport. All my friends are envious of me because I have access over the summer to a local diving pool. If Council closes, for all time, the Oakleigh pool, where do I go to dive that I can get to and afford?
