| I was a Councillor of Oakeligh for a period of 10 years 1980- 1990 including 2 years as the mayor 1984 and 1986. During this time an option was developed to heat the Oakleigh pool by using gas from the former tip which is now known as brickmakers park and to obtaion additional gas from the former tip known as reg harris reserve. | Thanks for that information. It seems as though poor Oakleigh Pool has missed out on care and attention time and again over the years. I wander how that plan would have worked? I didn't know Reg Harris Resverve was once a land fill site. Trees seem to grow a bit better there than on Brickmakers Park, anyway. | Julie C |
